Mixing.Around. @ 7:59 pm

I love mixing around with people. Especially now, suddenly, I feel super ecstatic, I feel like saying "Hi!" to everyone I see. I used to see people like that in my primary school and I thought them weird but here in Cedar, I don't feel like I'm weird doing that. I'm just being me. And in Cedar, I know that most of my friends would not think me weird when I go around goofing up. Cedarians are enthusiastic and cheerful, as quoted by Amelia, one of our nominated head prefect for the year 2006.

"Cedarians are well known for their spirit of cheerfulness- besides their
prominent blue blouses and grey skirts."

And I think, it is an important aspect of life to mix around because you meet new people, new personalities. Either good or bad, you will always learn something from them. And when you grow up and meet someone like say Person A, you will be able to understand his/her better because you know what he/she probably is like. Still no two persons are the same.

It also provides me with a variety in life. Besides all the popularity you get....ehem ehem, you would also gain more knowledge. It is so nice to hear different people's view on different topics, their experiences in life, their lame but amusing jokes, their stories. And other people willl get to know you better too.

Now, I am closer to Geraldine then I was when I entered Secondary One. If not for Netball, I think it would have stayed that way. I am closer to Susmitha, Sarah, Rudihra and Rupini too. And all my other classmates... especially Susmitha cos we have a sudden liking to hit each other and run screaming away guiltily after that.

Just now, I went to Toa Payoh Community Library with Mu Jia, Inez, Ping Hui and Inez. First time with this combination. I was quite close to Mu Jia and Jerallyn. Ping Hui sits in front of me and I had a friendly relationship with Inez. I just tried to hang with them lah. And I have forgotten what it feels like to have to sit beside Jerallyn and really know her as a person . She really listens to what you have to say with genuine interest. I find this quality rare in a person. And Inez is really smart and pro. She explains and tests like a professor. Ha-ha. Her concept of Science me envy her.

And I believe in the power of having friends. You can really depend on them. It is a good idea to mix around so that your social circle will be built up. But choose carefully your friends because they are influential. And do not wait for them to come eo you. Go find out about that distant classmate yourself.
